Mitchell Hall, Jr. is an experienced trial and appellate attorney whose practice includes commercial law, insurance defense, employment and labor litigation, and medical and school law. Mr. Hall has tried over 25 jury trials involving trucking, automobile, premises liability, employment and commercial litigation. His employment practice includes arbitrations and administrative proceedings, labor negotiations and advice. Mr. Hall serves as panel counsel for numerous insurance companies and their insureds.
Mr. Hall graduated from Davidson College in 1987 with a B.A. in English. He received his J.D. in 1991 from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and served as an associate editor for the Kentucky Law Journal while at the University of Kentucky. Mr. Hall's article, "Granfinanciera, Northern Pipeline, and Public Rights: May a Bankruptcy Judge Preside Over a Jury Trial?" 80 Ky. Law Journal 499 (1992), has been cited by Wright & Miller, the Practicing Law Institute, and numerous law reviews.
Mr. Hall is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Ohio. He is admitted to practice in federal courts for the eastern and western districts of Kentucky, the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Boyd County, Kentucky, Ohio, and American Bar Associations; the Kentucky Defense Counsel; the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys; and the Kentucky School Board Attorneys' Association.
Mr. Hall is also involved in a number of civic activities. He is an alumnus of Leadership Tri-State, a member of the Rotary Club, and serves on the board of directors for United Way and the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center. Mr. Hall also coaches the Ashland Blazer High School Mock Trial Team.
