Kimberly S. McCann has been in private practice in Ashland, Kentucky, since 1986. Ms. McCann was born in Ashland, Kentucky, and attended Eastern Kentucky University where she received her B.S. Degree in 1982. She received her J.D. Degree in 1986 from the University of Kentucky, and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar that same year. Ms. McCann is a member of the Boyd County, Kentucky, Ohio, and American Bar Associations, and the Kentucky Defense Counsel. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Leadership Kentucky, was a member of the Leaders of the New Century Shakertown Roundtable (1999), currently serves on the Governor's Post Secondary Education Nominating Committee, served as President and a member of the Board of Directors of United Way of Northeastern Kentucky and is a member and has served as President of the Board of Directors of King's Daughters Health Foundation. Ms. McCann served as a Board Member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section; served as a Delegate to the Kentucky Bar Association House of Delegates, and currently serves as a member of the CLE Commission for the Kentucky Bar Association.
Ms. McCann's primary areas of practice are corporate law, education law, governmental affairs, real estate law, business litigation and banking law. She practices in the states of Kentucky and Ohio, advising various large and small business clients on a daily basis in the areas outlined above. Additionally, she is an active lobbyist in Kentucky, representing business and industrial clients on issues of concern before the Kentucky General Assembly and Kentucky regulatory agencies.
