Leigh Gross Latherow

LEIGH GROSS LATHEROW was born in Harlan, Kentucky, and received her B.S. Degree from the University of Kentucky in 1990. She received her J.D. Degree in 1993 and was a member of the staff of the Kentucky Law Journal. Ms. Latherow served as a judicial law clerk to the United States District Judge Joseph M. Hood of the Eastern District of Kentucky from 1993 to 1995, and subsequently served in a similar position for the Honorable John D. Holschuh of the Southern District of Ohio from 1995 to 1997. Ms. Latherow is admitted to practice in both the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Ohio. She is admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Kentucky, Southern District of Ohio, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. Ms. Latherow also represents employers and employees in administrative matters before the Kentucky Human Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Ms. Latherow devotes her practice to civil and commercial litigation as well as advising clients on employment related matters.  Ms. Latherow has litigated and tried jury cases in state and federal courts.  She also maintains an extensive appellate practice, including arguing before the Supreme Court of the United States.  Ms. Latherow's litigation practice includes matters involving property damages, right of way disputes, enforcement of non-compete agreements, fraud, breach of contract, race, age, gender and disability discrimination, retaliation and harassment.  As part of her employment practice, Ms. Latherow regularly counsels employers regarding personnel issues and compliance with state and federal discrimination statues.  Ms. Latherow also conducts harassment training for supervisors and employees and reviews, drafts and revises employee handbooks and policy manuals. 

Ms. Latherow is also actively involved in a number of local civic groups including serving on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State, and she has served as an officer of the Boyd County Bar Association since 1999.
