LEIGH GROSS LATHEROW was born in Harlan, Kentucky, and received her B.S. Degree from the University of Kentucky in 1990. She received her J.D. Degree in 1993 and was a member of the staff of the Kentucky Law Journal. Ms. Latherow served as a judicial law clerk to the United States District Judge Joseph M. Hood of the Eastern District of Kentucky from 1993 to 1995, and subsequently served in a similar position for the Honorable John D. Holschuh of the Southern District of Ohio from 1995 to 1997. Ms. Latherow is admitted to practice in both the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Ohio. She is admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Kentucky, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. Ms. Latherow also represents employers and employees in administrative matters before the Kentucky Human Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ms. Latherow's areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, mineral law litigation, and labor and employment litigation. Ms. Latherow also has extensive federal appellate court practice. Ms. Latherow counsels employers regarding employment related matters, including conducting harassment training for supervisors and employees. Ms. Latherow has been invited to speak at various continuing legal education seminars regarding her employment litigation experience.
Ms. Latherow is also actively involved in a number of local civic groups including serving on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State, and she has served as an officer of the Boyd County Bar Association since 1999.
