Christina D. Hajjar

Christy D. Hajjar was born in Ashland, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky, magna cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Economics in 2003. While an undergraduate, Ms. Hajjar served as Copy Editor for the Kentucky Kernel, Vice President of Scholarship of the Panhellenic Association, and President of the UK Tennis Club and was a participant in the Emerging Leader Institute.
In 2006, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar. While in law school, she served as President of the Student Public Interest Law Foundation and as a Comments Editor for the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law. Ms. Hajjar's comment, The Frustration of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Safe Air for Everyone v. Meyer, was published in Volume 20:1 of the journal. Prior to joining VMJE&M, Ms. Hajjar served as staff attorney to Chief Regional Circuit Court Judge Sheila Isaac and was in private practice in Lexington, Kentucky focusing on workers' compensation and insurance defense. She is currently a member of the American, Kentucky and Boyd County Bar Associations.
